DEBAG invests in a new production site
Even in CORONA times good news are coming from the economy. DEBAG is ensuring this with an investment, amounting to a six-figure number, in a new production hall for shop baking ovens at the site in Königsbrück in Saxony. Here, the popular MONSUN MINI, MONSUN CITY and HELIOS deck ovens are now produced in considerably larger quantities than before. Furthermore, new capacities are created at the previous production line in Bautzen, which is now available for the serial production of the DILA & DECON shop baking systems.
"By expanding our capacities, we are now even more efficient in our manufacturing processes - both at the Bautzen site and at the Königsbrück site. We can now produce up to 40% more shop ovens - and thus meet the increased demand. At the same time, this also allows us to achieve significantly shorter delivery times for our customers." explains Oliver Theiß, Managing Director of DEBAG.
With the expansion of the production capacities, 20 new jobs were initially created. The DEBAG team now has a total of 270 employees, spread over three locations in Saxony:
- Bautzen: Headquarters of the administration and production of the DECON and DILA shop ovens
- Königsbrück/“Am Ostbahnhof”: Production of the shop baking systems MONSUN MINI & CITY and HELIOS
- Production of the MONSUN ovens for Artisans
- Production of the proofing and refrigeration technology
- Headquarters of the DEBAG service centre with 42 employees
"The investment in the new production hall at the Königsbrück site is also a clear commitment to our production in Saxony/Germany: "Made in Germany" continues to stand for forward-looking technical developments, outstanding engineering performance and thus high quality and durability of the products. This is also what our products and services stand for," says Oliver Theiß.
"Foresighted investments in our production sites in Germany - with their high competences in terms of technical development and engineering - are the basis for the success of DEBAG. Thus, we can continue to inspire our customers with innovative and high-quality baking technology in the future - and guarantee delivery reliability and short delivery times even in CORONA times," emphasises Theiß.
