Our history
Foundation and first years
In 1911, Alois Paul Linder set up his own oven construction business in Munich, laying the foundations for today's DEBAG company. His company initially develops and builds brick ovens.
Linder's breakthrough came with the invention of the MONSUN system. In 1936, he applies for a patent for his new baking technology. Due to increasing demand, the production facility in Munich is constantly expanded. Even the Second World War only briefly interrupted the success story.
Growth to market leader for artisan ovens
Production is resumed as early as 1945. In the following decades, the family business continues to develop solidly - it becomes the market leader in the production of artisan ovens in German-speaking countries. International orders and deliveries to Asia, Africa, South and North America ensure additional growth.
In the early 1990s, the company merged with the only oven construction company in the GDR, BOFABA, which was incorporated into the "Fortschritt Landmaschinenbau" combine in the early 1970s. This creates the DEBAG company in its current form with its headquarters in Bautzen. The Munich site is closed.
Market leadership and international growth
The turn of the millennium also marks the breakthrough for DEBAG. The export business grows rapidly - initially in Europe, but shortly afterwards also globally. New markets and customer groups are opened up. This is accompanied by the development of numerous new products - in close cooperation with the partners in the group of companies, alexandersolia and ascobloc.
Foreign subsidiaries are founded in Poland, France and Russia.
